A one Day Workshop was held on 5.7.2017 at 10.00 AM in the Conference Hall of the Department for revision of scheme & syllabus of B.Tech Program in Mechanical Engineering under the Chairmanship of Professor Tilak Raj and coordinated by Mrs Sandhya Dixit and Dr. O.P. Mishra, Assistant Professor in the Department.
Subject Experts were invited from eminent institutions and reputed industries alongwith alumni. 08 Subject Expert along with faculty members of the department attended the Workshop.
Before the start of Workshop, Dr.Tilak Raj, Chairman-ME and Dean, Faculty (E&T) welcomed all the participants. Prof. Dinesh Kumar, Vice-Chancellor of the University visited the Workshop to convey thanks to the Experts and faculties for their keen involvement in Workshop affairs. The Vice-Chancellor expressed his view that University will be able to formulate its scheme & syllabi as per the requirement of the industries.
The scheme & syllabi was discussed in groups by the concerned faculty members. Valuable suggestions were given by the outside experts, which are being incorporated in the scheme & syllabi. The modified scheme & syllabi will be placed before the BOS in its next meeting for consideration and approval so that the same could be made applicable from the session 2017-18.
Whole Mechanical Engineering subjects were divided into four specializations. (i) Design Engineering (ii) Thermal Engg (iii) Industrial Engg (iv) Production Engg
There were 10 Sections of each specialisation. The experts were asked to give their opinion in each sections. The comments given by experts of each specialisation were documented for further consideration and incorporation.
